Privacy notice
DRAFT — not yet in force. The website package requires this notice to be reviewed and approved by the FUTO Data Protection Officer before publication, and the live site must not publish it until then. The wording below describes the design build accurately; the retention periods, the DPO contact and the legal review are outstanding.
This notice explains what happens to your information when you use this website, register for training, or report a concern. It is written to be read, not to protect the Academy.
The short version
This website does not collect your personal data
No account, no cookies, no analytics, no session tracking, no advertising. The only thing stored in your browser is your choice of light or dark theme, and it never leaves your device.

This site sets no cookies of its own, uses no analytics or tracking scripts, and requires no account. It does not log your certificate checks, because a verification result is not tied to your visit.
Registration and concern reports
Registration and reports are collected with an offline-capable form service operated for the Academy. That service is a separate system: when you open the form, your information goes to the Academy's account there, not to this website.
- The form loads only when you choose to open it — no third-party cookie or referrer is set before that.
- Concern reports may be submitted anonymously.
- Reports about harassment or abuse are visible only to the named GESI focal persons.
- This website never receives, copies or stores your registration or report details.
The form service provider, its data location and the Academy's retention rules for registration and report data are confirmed by the Academy. This notice does not invent them.
The learning platform
Advanced, trainer and supporting courses run on a separate learning platform on its own sub-domain. If you enrol on a course there, that platform's own privacy notice applies to it. Collectors on L1 and L2 do not need an account there at all.

Some pages link to services outside this site. When you follow such a link you leave this site and the other service's terms and privacy notice apply.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you can ask what information is held about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted where the Academy has no continuing obligation to keep it. You can also object to how it is used, and you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
To exercise any of these, contact the Academy's Data Protection Officer.
The Data Protection Officer's contact address and the retention periods are still to be supplied by FUTO. No email address is invented here.
Children and vulnerable people
The programme involves young people in some roles, and safeguarding is treated as a first-order concern rather than a policy footnote. Concerns can be reported confidentially through the concern reporting route.
Changes to this notice
This notice is versioned. When it changes, the date below changes with it, and the previous version is kept for reference.
