Advanced assessed training

Six days of assessed training across identification, hazard control, receiving quality, reuse decisions and recycling routes.

Access to the Moodle course is granted after the entry checks and enrolment are complete. The Moodle platform is a separate system from this website.

What this course covers

The course is delivered as six training days, with theory and knowledge checks on Moodle and the practical stations assessed in person. Curriculum version 1.1 governs the content; the section list below is the published structure.

Who this course is for, and entry

Advanced practitioners, technicians and installers. Delivery: Moodle for theory and knowledge checks; practical stations in person.

Entry checks are set out in the curriculum (course guide, section 1). Learners are enrolled manually after the entry checks.

  2. Day 1: orientation, identification, inclusion, records (M0, M1, M4, M5, M2)

  3. Day 2: handling and hazard control (M2, M3, M6)

  4. Day 3: receiving quality and diagnostics (M6, M7A)

  5. Day 4: reuse decisions and pre-processing awareness (M7B, M7C)

  6. Day 5: recycling routes and reporting (M7D, M9)

  7. Day 6: final knowledge check and practical stations

Certificate scope statement: This certificate records the tasks assessed in a Battery Academy Naija project course. It is not a national qualification or licence and does not authorise hazardous work without employer authorisation.

Join the first intake

Registration for the first wave is handled through the Academy’s offline-capable registration form, so you can register from a phone with no data connection.
